My local auto body supplier says they sell products made by a company called CarBrite. I'm looking for a strong wheel cleaner. Its $24/gallon for this stuff they sell by CarBrite... Anybody heard of this? Good/bad?

Mostly to dealers and such... not many use them, work ok, but longevity etc sucks. Better products out there.

I use CarBrite, and have never had problems with their products. In my opinion, brand names are completely overrated--it's the technique of the detailer that matters most.

That wheel cleaner is most likely called "White Lightning." It's an acid-based cleaner which works GREAT, but be sure to wet the wheel first before application, don't let it sit for more than 45 seconds, and don't spray it on aluminum wheels.

Sweet! Just what I wanted to hear! I'll pick up a gallon when I get back into town next week.

Also... do I dillute it like recommended for seriously hurting clearcoated wheels? Or use it full strength? How much should I dilute it?
