It's an older model, mbp w/ 15", core duo model. The keyboard is funky. RIght keys work (mostly), F keys at top do, left caps lock, ctrl, and space work. All in all, maybe 15 keys work on this thing (not including F keys).

I don't know what happened to it either.

Sounds, odd, to say the least. Try popping off the keys one-by-one and checking the depression points for each key, making sure they are clean.

Have you checked to see if your model is one of the machines with the keyboard issues? There are firmware updates for some keyboard issues with the MBP.
