If I watch "Death and Rebirth" and "The end of Evangelion" before seeing anything of the series am I going to screw everything up?

im still waiting on my box set i order last month for $40. =\

i had seen up to EP 17(the platnum editions) and some one kinda let it slip about the final shot. so after waiting for the last month for the box set i finally gave in and watched "The end of Evangelion"that i DLed. but i had read up on the missing EPs and to me, i kinda under stood it... but it's pretty deep. so aftert i watch it about 5 more times i should get it good. and i pretty much can really get in shinji's shoes. and understand whats he;s thinking. im not proud of it, but it helped me with some problems i have being going through

you must watch the series first

death and rebirth is a retelling of the series compressed into a neat package and end of eva shows you what happend outside of shinji's head during the last two episodes of the eva tv series.

The story is about the characters, the action is great but never the main focus.

i tried watching death and rebirth first when i was a total noob. I got through 5 mins before i turned it off. you can try to watch the movies before, like neo said it won't even make sense. So watch the series, you won't regret it.

In the eva series, when is 'death and rebirth' supposed to be watched? inbetween the series and movies or after everything?

If you're after the cheap pricing you should get it quick. I tried to buy it yesterday but they had sold out.
