no one else at my base seems to know either :hsd:

I know you're not supposed to mail it through the USPS but I've heard of quite a few people who have done it :o

It is a complex process that takes a person of unique mental capabilities to complete.

It is obvious that the complexity of this task is to much for your simple mind to process.

ah, the beauty of being aircrew. Everybody that went to a certain European country from my unit ,last year bought beer/wine and brought it back with them, get this, 2 pallets stacked high. Customs noticed right away they were WAY, WAY over their limit, but decided to let them slide by.

I shipped many bottles of soju back home while stationed in korea and also bottles of beer from germany while there. What i did was mail blankets home and wrapped inside the blankets were the bottles- Provides great protection for the glass and also harder to detect.

    here's what I did.

    1) pack up alcohol nicely
    2) go to a local post office i.e not military mail.

Its pretty simple and every single one of my things made it and I didn't have to worry about breaking any military rules

You are allowed to take back a certain amount of alcohol, however the exact amount is up to US Customs and nothing to do with Europe.

Wife (soon to be ex) just managed to convince the movers to pack up nearly 120 bottles of wine in the household goods.
