My Pa just got a RICOH big ethernet printer. It is far from an ethernet jack. They have wifi in their house.

Can someone recommend a cheap wireless ethernet bridge that works?

Well, I have to add my parents' address to my check card as an authorized shipping address, so I haven't ordered yet.

Feel free to chine in. This shouldn't cost more than $30, and yet it seems to.

it's a "specialty" item, so they are spendy. Get a cheap Linksys WRT54G (possibly free from someone else that doesn't know about dd::wrt) and then put dd::wrt on it and use it as a wireless bridge in client-ap mode.

    Hmmm...

No. Not that its not a good idea. It is. But I don't feel like spending any time setting things up.

Too bad you couldn't have gotten a printer with built-in wireless.

He could have gotten that, but this is a big bad ass RICOH monster of a printer that was just discontinued, and he got a hell of a deal on it.

    Nice...

How far is a comptuer from where the printer will sit?

Most of those also have a parallel or USB port. It could at least get you by until you figure something out.
