That's a good flick. Jim Carrey really impresses me sometimes. That guy is going to become such a legendary actor.

I suggest everyone see all the Charlie Kaufman movies (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of A Spotless Mind). The man has such a unique writing style, none are like the others, and all are gems in a field of hollywood-produced dog crap.

The trailers all looked less than stellar. Could you give a brief description of what it is about?

...and partway through the process, he changes his mind and spends the rest of the film hiding from the guys doing the erasing, by jumping in and out of different memories.

The hell of it is, she erased him first. He was doing it just cos he was pissed off about that. :hs:

carrey and winslet meet eachother and fall it love. eventually the relationship goes bad and they break apart. soon after when he tries to talk to her she acts as though she's never even met him. turns out she underwent a procedure to have all of her memories of him erased from her brain (they do this very well and doesn't seem cheesy if it sounds cheesy). he's angry so he goes in for the same procedure. the movie is him inside his head re-living the memories as they're being erased. as he's re-living them he realizes he doesn't want to lose them and tries to stop it all from happening.

even the movie cover is terrible. they quote it right on there as "a smart and sexy comedy", which is a horribly inaccurate description. it's really an incredible movie and I'd totally recommend it.

this movie really moved me. i believe i may have even teared up.

really, really surprised that this didn't get more buzz when it was in theaters. i'd recommend that everyone who hasn't seen it yet check it out from your local blockbuster.

Very good movie, one of my favorites. But don't judge it by the cover. This is very much so a movie that you have to watch in full before you can rate it. It jumps around a lot. And you won't understand it until you watch it from start to finish. Even then you might want to go one more round with it. I really liked it. So yea it's a great movie.
