Any opinions on this game? I played the demo last night and it seemed like a nice simple jrpg I could get lost in for a week or two. Didn't seem too deep but that's ok, I don't really have time now for some 80 hour epic anyways. Reminded me of Dark Cloud, which I enjoyed for a bit before the dungeons started pissing me off.

I watched some video reviews which were kind to it, but I want to hear the OT RPG elietest's point of view on this cute little game before I buy.

I think it took me 35 hours to complete
At first it was a great game but it became more of a choir than anything. The cut scenes are mind bottling long and boring.
Each character has 1 move that is boss so you just keep doing the 1 move over and over and over again. Fuck that game.

Well shit, what are the chances that only a few threads down there's a discussion involving this very game? Oh well. If anyone cares to go into more depth I'll leave this thread open. Thanks!

I enjoyed it...well until I stopped playing it because something else took my attention.

I'd say give it a go

Happens to me in pretty much every game

Ive been fairly good recently though. Finished Uncharted 2, assassins creed2 and MW2 without moving on to something else.

Hope I can keep it up. Got a huge backlog of games to play

game was meh. Everybody went nuts for the story but it was super generic, far fetched and predictable

I only played the demo but it seemed cool. Reviews + opinions here don't make me seem too interested in it though :hs: It isn't on my "To Play" list anyway.

Magna Carta 2 is a good alternative. About 10 hours in so far and it's enjoyable.

It has a really cool premise (Chopin is my favorite classical composer) and battle system, but it's hardly even a JRPG. It's very linear and shallow. The battle system isn't shallow, just the RPG elements. It's closer to being an action-adventure game than an RPG.
