If you can get your injector pulse right, you'll be running 10s.

ohh low 13s? :ugh: Not even close, from an 88 mustang with those mods you'll be lucky to run mid 14s.
with the heads intake and cam, then probably low to mid 13s.

When they were new. Remember, the car is 15 years old.

With the heads, intake, cam, injectors, and all that stuff, on slicks, with a good driver, I'd guess low 13s/high 12s. IT all depends on what condition the engine is in.

What cam specs? that will make the difference between low 13's and high 12's

usually heads/cam/intake cars are mid-high 12's depending on how good of condition the motor is in

as of right now.. (unless i can get something as good for cheaper)

it more then likely will be:

    TF track heat heads
    F303 cam
Edelbrock intake (prolly RPM or RPMII the new one)
    70mm TB
    70mm MAS or 75mm Bullet Pro-M mas
speed density -> MAS conversion of course
    30# injectors
    155 fuel pump (if needed)
3.73/3.55 gears (if i have budget for it.. also i do alot of highway miles so i might have to go 3.55, about 100miles of highway a day)

Mine runs 12.3x @ 112+ with the following mods:
    C&L 76mm maf
    70mm t-body
    Edelbrock RPM intake(lower self-ported)
GT40 Iron heads mildly ported with double springs and milled .040
Custom cam with .556 int/.557 ex lift, 288/292 duration
STOCK bottom end with 186k miles
    Tremec 3550
    Aluminum driveshaft
4.30 gears(you can NEVER have too much gear!!)
    underdrive pullies
    #30 injectors
    255lph high pressure pump

I just recently finished porting the lower intake and I'm hoping for a 12.2x or better. And as soon as the weather cools off I expect to sneak into the 11's all motor

I have to disagree on the gears. Unless you are running a dedicated strip car, going over 4.10 is getting a little too big to be practical. It's going to waste alot of gas, even if you have an overdrive trans. 3.73s are the best overall street strip gear if you want to run it at the track and also drive it everyday on the highway or around town.

Even with my 4.30's my tach shows 2500 rpm or so @ 70 mph and the fuel mileage is largely dependant on your driving habits. Again, on the freeway I still get 22+ mpg. :bigthumb:

So you have 4.30 rear gears, and you're only doing 2500rpm at 70mph!?. I don't see how thats possible. Even my car with 3.73s and a .70:1 over drive is still around 2200 at 70mph. I'm not trying to give you shit, but you must either have some seriously tall tires, or one hell of an overdrive gear. You're not running a Gear Venders unit by chance?

Well I am running 275/60x15 rear tires and the overdrive is closer to .68. Also the stock tachometers in Foxes are notoriously inaccurate which is why mine is taped over so I am forced to look @ my Autometer :bigthumb:

Pretty:cool: Didja order new pushrods?? I woulda went with a bigger maf but that's me:big grin: And you're gonna need a spacer for the upper intake to clear those valvecovers. All in all though, nice parts that should make for a fairly quick streetcar:bigthumb:

Yeah, those valve covers are a bit taller than the stock ones to clear stuff like aftermarket roller rocker arms and stud girdles. I had the Trackheat intake(excellent design btw) and it would just clear the stock valvecovers. Also, I believe the gasket rails on the heads are a little taller as well(not 100% sure on that). Just trying to save you a little grief.:big grin:
With the parts you have I wouldn't be surprised to see the car go mid to low 12's on slicks...mebbe better if you're not afraid to powershift it and launch it hard(like 6000 rpms) :bigthumb:

its gonna be a huge change from a nearly stock block.. but once i get it.. im gonna tear the road apart :x:
only thing im worried about is how long can the block hold out.. 140k miles on it :o

Hah! Don't worry about the block until you start spraying it or strapping a blower/turbo to it. Mine has 187k and it's still going strong :blue:
