I really like the aspen trunks. What's the deal with the "Mindy" rock?

    Is Trail Ridge closed now?

Used a CP on 1/2 of the shots, I was taking it on and off, so not sure exactly what pics used it or not....and starting to get a hang of CS2, so did some modding to some

Not sure exactly on the Mindy rock?? There was this pull out off of the road and a look out, and there was this rock that was kind of blocked off so I walked to the rock.....and I saw the memorial on the way there...was kinda sad....I was attempting to take this pic, but the timer was too short for me to sprint all the way to the rock :mamoru:, but after that rock is a STRAIGHT ass drop....I am wondering if the person jumped off the rock and now they block access to it??:dunno:

Trail Ridge is what I was on, still open! There is some snow upt here tho!

Just curious, were you shooting as wide as you could? In some of the pics they look like they would have been a little better if you could go a bit wider.

Those two I guess. For the 2nd one I feel that the OOF fence in the foreground is taking up too much of the image. For something taking up that much of the frame, I would consider it the subject and normally the subject is in focus. In this case I'm guessing the mountains are the subject and the fence is a little distracting in the foreground.

If you want this much fence in your foreground using a wider angle lens can change the perception of the image. Going wider will allow you to keep your foreground image the same size if you want (by getting closer), but it will expand your background making the foreground appear smaller to the viewer.

Getting up close with a WA lens is a good way to show detail in the foreground while at the same time "putting it in its place" by displaying a lot of background as well.

Most of what I said applies to the guy about to "jump" (or not jump). Yeah, I can tell that he's on the edge and he's in the mountains, but if you could get closer to him and zoom out the viewer would be able to see more of the mountains in the background in addition to more of the valley below him.

Ya, I know what you are saying....the one with the fence is with my 70-200 lense, I wanted to get the closeness of the mountains but add a lil rusticness or some sort of addition to the photograph....

The jump photo was hard because the trip to the mountains was kinda random so the only tripod I had was a lil 6" mini and I was taking the shots of me "jumping" thats me in the photo...I had to run up to the edge before the camera went off....quite difficult:noes: But ya, I definatly know what you are talking about!
