I was just going to use one of the EA lowers I have laying around, but now I'm considering getting something nicer since I'm already shelling out $200 to be able to build it :dunno:

Something like a Sun Devil lower, or maybe a POF

  2. I guess if you want it because you like the way it looks, but it doesn't provide any advantage over the EA lower.

Yeah I guess it would just be for bling, I'm just wondering if its worth it to use a nicer lower considering that this will be a a really nice gun :dunno:

  4. How do you define "worth it?" It's not going to make the gun function better or anything.

I guess to just have a piece with better parts. I dont know if specialty lowers have any advantages as far as durability, quality, etc.

Which finish do you have? The bronze looks pretty hot for a flat dark earth build.

Actually the first SBR I do is going to be a 9mm, doesnt make sense to spend alot on a lower for that.

There's something about a MEGA that screams quality. It just feels "different" than others. Maybe it's the coating they use.

Agreed. I just picked up one of the brand new ones from their new CNC (serial #33) and it is SERIOUSLY nice. I'd say close to if not on par with my POF.

They have the best finish IMO out of any other companies.

I think I saw him say on the local forum that he got a bunch in. He picks them up from Mega pretty often and generally has them in stock.

Took a few weeks to get mine. Sent payment on April 15 and it arrived at my dealer May 8. A little nerve wrecking considering I've heard a couple bad experiences from people on here combined with the fact I sent him a USPS MO but it was a smooth transaction!

Thats not too bad. Probably order 3 sometime if I can get consecutive serial #'s. I dont want to use a 223/556 marked EA lower for a 9mm build.
