i just drink plain old water i don't like the taste of all those sports drinks
fuck the bullshit, just drink water. a lot of those "sport drinks" has too much complex crap in them, that actually does more harm that good. ingredients that you cant pronounce, and a lot of high fructose corn syrup, is a good indication to stay away from them. you might as well just drink soft drinks.

these are good for post workout or for whenever
15 grams of premium whey protein isolate
23 vitamins and minerals
3 servings of fruits/veggies
antioxidants = 4 cups of green tea
free of lactose, gluten, soy and caffeine
Not trying to be a dick, but do you research the stuff you are talking about......The quantities in these drinks is so far less than what you need to consume to cause remote damage......

But I'll play.
Gatorade uses HFCS-90, which is 90% fructose and 5% glucose and 5% other sugars. Which is why it's so bad for you.
Vitamin water uses granulated sugar which is 50% fructose and 50% glucose, making it 99.9% sucrose. Which your body can metabolize and process faster. Which is why vitamin water was the best for me during and before training. My body could metabolize the sugar faster and give me energy, while the gatorade was just forcing my body to do a lot of extra work on top of my already training really hard.
for training i stick to water
1/3 gatorage and 2/3 water. That's how I mix my bottle before I go to class and haven't found anything that helps me out more.
Yeah, I often gas out because my body is trying to metabolize fructose
stats look good.
I usually just drink water but if I drink anything else (as long as it falls in the sports drink criteria), I feel fine and don't notice any huge difference
i drink water, tea milk and ginger ale. the ginger really quenches the thrist. i've had days where i couldn't stop the thirst and drink a gallon of water.

I vomit when I drink gatorade before I train. A lot of people literally can't stomach it.
Gatorade sucks for pre-training.
I just stick to water
I have a 6 pack of Gatorade that i'll eventually finish off

I did it for lolz factor because any kind of ranking system is pretty gay.
I'll try and consume a complex carb of some variety (oats, quinoa, erc) about an hour beforehand as well.
