I got error code P1200 with 17608 refrences using a mactools scanner, but it is not in the book. The car also had P0118 and P1296 which are in the book, which is good till 2002. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

nothing, it runs fine and everything, we just cant figure out where this code came from. the first code had to do with the temp sending unit(which we changed) and the second one was something with temp too but the car runs fine and everything works, just the engine light came on, we cleared the codes and it came back so we were trying to figure out what it could be.

    Two Possiblilites I found:

P1200 Injector control circuit - EDC16C3 Diesel high pressure monitoring. Maximum pressure exceeded. :ugh: It's not a TDI, so no....

P1200 Fuel Pump Relay Circuit. -Definitely possible

I'm very confident that this code has something to do with fuel. Are you modded at all, or stock? It sounds like the injectors or fuel pump so I'd start there.
