A&P Error 99 & the shutter gets stuck...

    Happened today for the 2nd time. Even the camera knows the big brother is almost here and its time to upgrade :bowdown:


    What's the easiest way to find out how many shutter clicks it has?

    That an early sign of shutter failure? Mine stuck open after snapping a pic a few weeks ago, and it was flashing "error" on the LCD. I cut it off, shutter was still open. I had to actually take the batteries out for the shutter to close. :o

    Err 99 can mean anything. All it means is that something is happening that is causing the camera to operate improperly and it doesnt know what it is. If it did know what the problem is, it would throw a specific Err code (Err 01, Err 12, etc).

    The vast majority of Err 99 problems are lens/body connection issues it seems and they can almost always be cleared by pulling the battery.
