I decided to do it, Ill be leaving my home in an hour or so for Concord.

Been cutting weight the last 2 weeks, only have about 8lbs to go. Nothing the sauna cant take care of. Im entering the 155 no-gi beginners division. My original weight starting out was 175.

Ive been training for a few months now, I dont expect to win it all, at least 1 match. Im doing this to get more experience and to have fun.

Wish me luck guys, oh yea, its held in Concord, NC.

fuck...i lost both my matches. the first one was my own fault, i went for a flying armbar, landed it, but i didnt have a tight enough grip. so when i went to get a tighter grip he broke free, got side mount, then mount, and choked me out, haha.

second match, they paired me with an blue belt, whos been training for like 2 and1/2 years (as he said) and i was just like fish out of water. he got an arm triangle on me, and i tapped out.

haha, good experience regardless. Some people keep saying they will compete for the longest time and don't do it... so you already are heads and shoulders above them.
