I can't fucking wait. While this cd is only going to be an EP, I'm still really fucking excited to hear it, and especially excited to hear their new vocalist (Petri Lindroos from Norther). The EP is going to have 6 tracks, two of them being final versions of demo's they released earlier, Warrior's Quest and White Storm. The sixth track is supposedly going to be a medley so it should hopefully be one of their longest tracks. Here's the track list for Dragonheads:

    Dragonheads contains six tracks:

    1. Dragonheads
    2. Warrior's Quest
    3. Kalevala Melody
    4. White Storm
    5. Into Hiding
    6. Finnish Medley:
    - Karjalan Kunnailla - Myrskyluodon Maija - Metsämiehen Laulu

Spinefarm Records has announced that the release date for
    "Dragonheads" is 15.2.2006

I can't fucking wait, anyone else a huge fan of this band? They're probably currently one of the most underrated bands out there right now, with their cd's not even being sold in the USA.

For those of you who don't know who Ensiferum are, they are an epic viking/scandinavian metal band with death metal and black metal influences. They're pretty new, having only released three cd's, their third being a demo compilation. Their previous singer left the band in 2004 to work more on his other band, Wintersun, but their new singer played with them on their 2004 tour and seems to be pretty promising.

One of my roommates is obsessed with viking metal. These guys are damn good from what I've heard in a stoned daze in his room, I should get into more VM. All I got so far is Amon Amarth and Mithotyn.

Hmm this should be quite cool, although I've got to say that I only really enjoyed there self titled debut, there other releases just haven't been very exciting, plus I prefer Wintersun for definate. There are plenty of viking/folk bands out there, but one band that I've been really digging is Asmegin, give them a listen if you haven't already.

Woot! It already leaked on the net. I'm still probably going to order it since it's an amazing fucking cd... but I'm listening to it right now and holy shit it's great. I just wish they made it a but longer but replacing Kalevala Melody with a full song. Can't complain though, after all the member changes and shit this band's been through they're still rocking.
