Here are a few from my trip to St. Louis. Geoff is a good friend of mine whom I met a few years ago through a 4x4 club. Katie was a natural in front of the camera and I can't wait to head back over there in February to shoot their wedding.

This is one of those sessions where things just sort of "clicked" for me... I felt like I was seeing angles and shots better than I had in prior sessions, and hope this was a turning point for me. I'm still a newb at wedding photography, but hope I'm heading in the right direction at least.

All shots are with my 20D and either the 28-75 tammy or I think there might be one in here with the 17-40L. any lighting was a single sb24 off camera. All processing in Lightroom

I like #5 the best of them all. The first few bother me because there is so much space between the two. I focus more on her and almost miss the groom completely.

    I do like #8

#7 could tone down the processing slightly I think.

If you can PS out the kid in #4, that would be great, but otherwise that kind of ruins the shot IMO.

#1 and #2 seem like the best expressions for the moment, especially on her. The other ones just don't stand out to me. I'm thinking if you tone down the processing and the desaturated look the pictures might stand out a little more.

I know there is a desaturation trend going on right now, but I feel these "happy" moments would look better with normal color.

    Just my opinion....

I think 5 was the least processed of the bunch... I think it's just a slight bump in fill and some desaturation....

I might burn in the background some... I think it'd be way to time intensive to clone him out.

if you have another shot from the same angle w/o the kid in the bg, just use the patch tool...

I like #7 a lot. I wish the guy had been more into it though, he looks like he's not doing anything.
