    Apparently a thread about a man suffering from an injury isnt an appropriate place to mention i also have an injury. I apologize for making that mistake.

    I have chronic lower back pain, but in the last two weeks it has become much worse. I have tried going to a chiropractor in the team oyama gym, but he did not seem to do much. I am not entirely sure what my next step is.

    I had an MRI done two years ago, and they saw nothing out of the ordinary.

    if it's getting worse, you should go into the doctors again. Things can get missed or get worse.

    Why not just go to a doc then? Have you tried REALLY taking a break from training? I'm talking like 10 days - no training. Just streching and cardio?

    yeah.. i mean once every 2 months ill take a week off and wont go to training for that time.

    i have two doctors in my immediate family.. and theyre just telling me to go see a physical therapist, but i worked in a physical therapy office for a while and it made me kind of skeptical about how effecive it is..

    i might try a sports medicine doctor or something..

    I went to physical therapy after tearing my rotator cuff. I believe in it.

    yeah i think this is a good possibility. i guess i gotta go see a physical therapist and ask them what sort of exercises i could do at home. i have a bar at least.. my back has been really funky since forever. I could never even learn to wrestle properly because of it. I'd love to have a normal lower back :hs:

    If you'd love it so much - then take the proper steps and time needed to heal your back and then take steps to ensure a healthier future for your back as well.

    If you wanted it to bad - you'd stay off the mat, seek professional help and then work to rehab and increase its strength.

    But you wont. You'll be pescimistic about getting help, continue to train and say that you cant really rehab it cause you have no where to do it. Right?

    That's not antagonistic. That's brutal honesty. And decent advice.

    Go see a sports medicine doctor. Make sure nothing is where it shouldn't be. Go to Physical Therapy to get healed. Then get back to training. Living with a fucked up back sucks, and when you get older you'll be miserable.
