This emo music (which i am a big fan of) is blowing up, it all started as ''emo core'' in the 80's and now came back as ''emo punk.'' There are a lot of ''emo'' bands now, it has became a very broad genre, all the way from bright eyes to thursday. Well express your opinions on ''emo!!''

Boring, same sound over and over again, whiney voices....it sucks.

hello pedro: i wouldn't really call broken social scene emo....they are just generic rock to me, but they are pretty good....but sunny day is emo for sure....they are ok, they are better then the retarded emoXcore stuff today

I'd say hardly generic. I don't know what album you're listening to my friend, but "You Forgot it in People" has an amazing array of intruments and melodies that would kick the "generic rock" title in the tits. Yea, I guess you're right, it's got more of an indie feel to it.

i meant generic as in the type of rock, not the sound....you forgot it in people is great....but i dunnno how a music sound can be 'indie'? i always thought indie meant bands who are on small labels.

Like all genres, emo has some great bands and some crap bands. You can't judge them all under one blanket.
