Anyone have any experience with this? I want to be able to do embassy duty as a reservist. If this means signing a active contract I'll do it. I know I should go through my chain of command with such requests.... but does anyone have any info on the down low?

You have to be active duty, pass a very intensive medical screening proccess, have three years on your contract, be eligable for a top secret clearance.

I went through the whole proccess of applying then got deployed and have a lot of friends who have been on MSG and have grilled them all appropriatley in the proccess of wanting to do it. I can answer any questions to that extent.

The first person you want to talk to is your Career Retention Specalist he/she will be able to guide you from there and hook you up with the paperwork and stuff.

Well I did a little research and it turns out that I would have to do three - 12 month rotations on different embassy's. Not sure if I want to do that when I have the opportunity to finish my contract soon to become an officer if I want to. Thanks though.

He was probably at the embassy in either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.
