eliptical v. running

    for fat loss, i noticed i can set the eliptical to a nice interval setting.

    i find the intervals on the elliptical useless for hiit. they're too long.

    I care for no AV's.
    Put it on random and a higher level. Its more like running but without impact. Don't just put it at level 2 and prance around for 15 minutes.

    What do you consider to long? A lot of machines have HR intervals which means the interval is longer/shorter based upon your intensity.

    you can't change the resistance manually?


    I would jog for a minute at 10, then up it to 14 and try to run for a minute. Thats good enough.

    Oh, this is not so on on the machine I use. It has fixed intervals of xx mins that just alternate. :o

    I meant that a lot of machines have HR intervals as an option instead of conventional intervals. :o
