Eliptical resistance vs. distance

    Hello F&N

    I've never posted in this forum before but have been readin it for the past month after I joined my first gym.

    My question is about resistance vs distance on a eliptical.

    When I first started I did 1 mile at resistance 1. One month later I have slowly ramped up to the point where I can do 4 miles at resistance 9.

    My goal is to continue to lose weight but I would prefer to not have huge legs how should I continue to ramp up my cardio ?

    ok, but seriously. you're overthinking it. you're not gonna get some tree trunk legs from upping the resistance on your cardio.

    Your legs are not going to get big from an elliptical.

    your legs will not get big from using the elliptical, no matter what the resistance.

    If weightloss is your goal, go for as hard and as long as you possibly can. Resistance training is also an essential part of any fitness program.
