Anyone know how to get elevated rights when installing office, or other msi packages so when a user (power user group) the app self heals.

ie excel.exe gets corrupted and office will self heal it.

I have been digging for weeks, and not come up with a good fix.

    Anyone got any ideas? :x:

Depending on the machine or the network and how its setup, you'll need to have admin rights to run MSI packages...

To get admin rights, talk to the admin/owner of the machine.

I am the Administrator of the machines, and I am trying to have the user be elevated when when say office is installed. For purposes of getting office to Self-heal. This is for imaging purposes...and not giving the users admin rights

Hmmm... you can give the user admin rights to the computer and not to the network though. I know it's not an ideal solution but I've had to do it on some programs that refuse to run correctly with only Power User settings.
