My g/f and I go to a fetish bar on Saturdays. At this bar, they have a device where you hold an electrode to send an electrical current through your entire body, then get massaged with various metal objects to shock you. My g/f absolutely loves this thing (it actually gets her off), so I'm pondering trying to get her one for home use. Does anybody know where one of these could be purchased?

It seems kinda like a TENS unit, although, those seem to have electrode pads that you connect to the skin that will send impulses below the pad. The device at the club has an electrode that you hold, the shocks then come from being touched with metal objects, or even just massaged with fingertips. Maybe accessories like this exist for the TENS units? I'll guess I'll have to look around a bit, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

the one i was familiar with plugged into the wall, was basically the base of a high power dremel tool with different heads you can put on. a rake comb, other shit and they were like those globes that had lightning int hem and on contact lil shocks were given off.

there was this 1 really cool thing that attached and had a beaded metal chain with a pad on the end. you tucked that in your waste line so it touched your skin and then you were the conductor.

the guy that was showing it to me had all sorts of metal tools that he used and the woudl send an electrical jolt into you it was really cool..

Not to rain on anyones parade or anything, but there needs to be a few words of caution about electricity and this type of play. Granted, I don't know much specifically regarding a "violet wand", but Vanilla mentioned something where the person "holds an electrode" and current is passed through your entire body, or they touch you with a device to send current through that area... THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY FATAL. If they are indeed having you HOLD and electrode and passing current in this method, you may want to reconsider participating here. Using your hand for a ground is a HORRIBLE idea. What this means is that any current that comes to your body needs to move up through your torso, down your arm, to your hand, and out the electrode. YOU SHOULD NEVER PASS CURRENT LIKE THIS THROUGH YOUR TORSO. A few MILLIAMPS can be enough to STOP your heart... permanantly. It would probably be in your best interest to place your ground elsewhere and avoid directing the wand at anything in the area of the heart, or even better just keep everything BELOW the chest so you never have to worry about it. If there is someone here who knows specifically how a "violet wand" works please share/expand/or correct me if I'm wrong.

The violet wand does not hold enough current to damage you. I've had the thing run over my entire body and have loads of metal bits in me that could also serve as conductors for the electricity and there was zero problem.

I cannot fault your concern, however. Certain other electrical devices could potentially burn and scar and caution should always be taken when using electricity during play.
