About 2 weeks ago my friends and I were messing around and started arm wrestling. The day after my joints in my elbows started aching. Everytime I throw something or bench press it seems like they are straining. It's been 2 weeks now...what could it be? I was told by everyone it happened to them before but mine are still aching after 2 weeks.

    ive strained my elbow too
    1. do isometric holds and slowly use it,
do girl pushups if you have too...
    but let it heal first.

you should apply heat to it for about 20 minutes ...try one of those thermacare patches if you don't have a heat pack.

if it's inflammed or if it has a "burning" feeling, apply cold to it..an ice pack or coldpack will do..leave that on for 10-15 minutes

do it for about every other hour or so..if that doesn't work, see a doctor..you know the drill

I've been out of the gym for about 2 weeks. Trying not to put any strain on em. They are not in pain all the time, only when pressure or lifting anything with a bit of weight..throwing a football puts it in pain. Thanks for the help so far.

My elbows started hurting me from lots of heavy barbell benching but the pain went away when I laid off of that. Make sure you warm them up really good before doing any kind of tricep movements or presses.

Also throw some Icy-Hot or something on them before hitting the gym. Advil might help if you don't have a scrip for Celebrex/Vioxx like I do :p
