I use APT heavy duty elbow sleeves and they work pretty good.

Skullcrushers aren't really good for much in my opinion but fucking your elbows up.

I used to do them a lot when i first started lifting..They were fine until i got stronger -- doing more weight started really killing my bows' so i quit that exercise indefinitely

it's funny i never ever had problems with my elbows or wrists from my 7-8 years of weight training (including doing skulls), until i got drunk and fell alot in the mosh pit.
Now I feel like a grandpa in the gym, and it's been since february and my elbow is still not back to normal.
I really feel it after holding heavy weights for deadlifts, shrugs or rows...i guess when my arm is straight it puts alot of stress on them.
