    I believe it's common knowledge among bodybuilders that eating RAW egg whites as a protein source is bad, since you can only absorb appox 50% of the protein compared to a cooked egg white. Because of this I always cook my eggs.

    I recently just learned however that you can buy pasteurized eggs or LIQUID egg whites. These are "cooked" through pasteurization, yet remain in liquid form.

    Can't believe I never heard of this before. Thought I'd share in case someone else hasn't either.

    Who here uses liquid egg whites? How does a glass of liquid egg whites taste? Any good recipes?

    Why drink 'em, they're much tastier cooked. No sense ruining one of the few good tasting healthy foods out there.

    Cook them in a pan with olive oil spray and spices. Takes 5 minutes.

    fail...it takes practice but once you get it down it is stupid easy to seperate them...

    Yes carton liquid egg whites in the stores are pasteurized.

    I'll just be adding some to my PWO shake and before bed since it stays digesting for 4-5 hours. Less protein powder and more "real" food is always a good thing.

    Ill still be cooking my eggs in the morning though.

    I use them. I don't eat the egg whites 'raw', I mix my protein powder in and drink that. 6oz of egg whites and a scoop of protein is pretty good and has about 50Gs of protein. I hate protein in water, milk is good but egg is my new fave. You can even take "shitty" protein and make it taste good.

    Why the fuck are you people mixing in egg whites with your protein? As if 40 grams of isolate isnt enough? Have some hard boiled eggs instead throughout the day, whole fucking omega eggs. And the rest fish, chicken, red meat, potatoes, rice and veggies.

    No reason to be CHUGGING a fucking carton of egg whites like an ass kite. I dont understand the point of this. Even with shakes I have 1-2 max per day.

    theyre pasteurized, so its not really RAW.....you can drink them. I just dont see the point to doing what hes doing :dunno:

    24 grams of protein in my standard on 100% choco whey.

    1/2 carton of egg whites, 1 scoop protein powder, a splash of coffee, and a cup of ice=deliscous.

    Eggs are fucking cheap as hell and high in protein. I eat egg whites all fuckin day.

    hes saying that theres no need to add whites to your shake when 40 grams of whey is enough protein. eggs are great, im having 3 now. hes not saying you shouldnt eat eggs at all

    Yeah I just drink them out of the carton, no reason to go to the trouble of cooking them

    I like to drink them when I don't have time for anything else.

    Nothing wrong with adding whites to a shake. It thickens things, doesnt have fat and lactose like milk, and adds quality protein.

    40g of whey is fine too. Personally my meals are usually 60-80g of protein, so even 2 scoops of whey really isnt enough alot of the time.

    precisely. I just didnt understand why people are making 40 gram shakes WITH quick whites in them on top of it, just seems unnecessary, and instead of drinking them out of the carton, id rather eat some hard boiled whole eggs, or have another source of protein such as chicken, fish or steak.

    personally I have 5 hard boiled eggs in the morning, 2 scoops of ON pro complex, 1 tblsp nattypb, and some blueberries.

    the only time ill use quick whites (carton egg whites) is before bed if im training late that day, ill make an egg white omelette w/ some olive oil. but just drinking whites all day, i dont know, for quick protein i just have my whey isolate. whatever works though. protein is protein i guess.
