Egg Yolk

    I hear some people say to avoid it and only eat the white...So whats the verdict..eat it or ditch it?

    My opinion is that its fine to eat it if you want. There are good proteins in there. It is just harder to control calorie intake when you are eating a lot of yolks.

    for an active human with no blood problems they dont have to worry about cholesterol intake, which is probably why someone would tell you not to eat alot of yolks.

    the fat content is more relevant than the cholesterol content

    How would one go about eating only egg whites? As far as seperating/cooking them. I usually just eat my eggs scrambled..

    hard boil them and then eat only the white

    or crack the egg and let the white drip onto the pan, throw the yolk and shell away. not that complicated.

    the sodium is more of a problem than the cholesterol, which isn't a problem at all--in fact it'll help you. but yeah the yolks are very calorie dense. i still eat them though
