I went through the 37.5 and 75mg 2 week program to ramp up and just took my first 150mg pill. Hoping to keep seeing positive progress, despite the downsides of coming off it.

No negative side-effects so far but wondering what other people's experiences were like.

I went through so many of those types of meds, I forget exactly which ones had which negative effects.

I just remember it wasn't the worst, but it sure as hell still sucked. The usual tired and dizzy feeling all the time. Just never feeling quite 'right'. Any chance of a normal sex life was over (one of the reasons I will never get back on the medication trial and error rollercoaster).

But that was just ME. Thats the beauty of it... they really do help some people with minimal side effects. I just don't happen to be one of them.

Here's hoping it works for you :)

I didn't notice any ill side effects when ramping up, except when I got to 225 mg. I was tired as all hell. Came back down to 150, gtg.

One thing I did notice a little later, I last forever with the ladies.

Yes, you can go forever. Forever with no orgasm. If thats what you consider good sex, you can fucking have it.

The first couple times you might impress a girl. After awhile... she's going to kinda notice that little detail... that she isn't able to make you cum.

And trust me, girls REALLY don't enjoy that. In fact they get quite pissed and feel really worthless. And then it starts to suck a million times more for you.

Or maybe you are just that good at faking it :mamoru:

I was on Effexor for over a year and it didn't do me any good. In fact, it probably made me feel worse. The side effects were not that bad until I tried to stop taking it and I felt absolutely terrible for a month going through withdraw.

I'm on another drug now that has done wonders.

I have been on Effexor 150mg for about 5 years. I went off for a few months after I got sober but ended up back on. It's what works for me.

Generics just became available so it should be much cheaper too.
