So I got a couple Macs through the Conga Madness forum. one being an iMac Intel Core Duo 20" and the other being an iBook G4 12".

well the iBook is on ebay now and im looking to get about 6 or 650 for it, still has 250 days on the one year warranty, hasn't been used much.

as for the iMac, my friends parents wanted a newer computer and he offered me $950 for it. i figure if i wait much longer i won't be able to flip it for that on ebay so why not go for it.

so head on over to Apple.com and view the new 24"s

    New 2.16 Ghz= 1899.00 w/ student discount
    Refurb 2.16 Ghz= 1699.00 w/ student discount

Has anyone bought refurbished before? i'm tempted to save the extra $200 but i imagine the 'refurbished' title will hurt me down the road when i try to sell it.

    Any input?

I bought a "refurbished" mac mini about a year ago as my first mac.

I paid about $425 on it on the apple website at the time.

I sold it on ebay this past summer, about 8 months later for $400.
(On ebay there is an option that askes is this item 1. New 2. Used or 3. Refurbished) I put it as refurbished

I'd so get the refurb one and upgrade your ram for the extra $200. but thats just me.

    good luck :bigok:

INteresting. Mine right now only has 512mb and the new one will seem a lot nicer since it comes from Apple with a Gig. I'm glad you got such a great return on your Mini.

Now all I have to worry about is Apple coming out with something new but that only happens once a year, over the summer, I believe.
