that is definately a beautiful pic of the engine
one day i will own a z06
what is that?
Very but not the best.
not just the zo6 engine, that baby is blown
Vortech + LS6 = but will also eventually = boom
but factor in power:weight ratio...
fuck it, once i can afford that combo...i don't give a shit if i have to fix broken stuff every once in a while.
You could always build it up specifically for boost, OR you could just run really low boost.
But the broken shit would be your engine internals.
hrm...any numbers on a setup like that?
Channel Islands, CA (May 5, 2003)-Vortech Engineering, LLC has introduced a new supercharging system for the 2001 5.7L LS6 Corvette Z06.This aftercooled system will increase horsepower and torque from 405/400 stock to 538/483 supercharged.*Vortech uses the V-2 SC-Trim supercharger with the Super Quiet gears, for nearly silent operation of the supercharger under idle and full throttle applications. The Z06 supercharging systems comes with everything you need to bolt it on, including high capacity replacement fuel injectors, a secondary cog drive system and more. A handheld ECM re-programmer is included with the kit to enable fuel and timing curve changes and to make operation hassle free. Installation time runs around 16-24 hours. This product is 50-state smog legal under CARB D-213-19.
*Supercharged horsepower and torque data shown is a calculated estimate based on percentage increases from actual rear wheel hp/tq measurements.

How can I insert Images its not working or I cant figure it out one of the two...probably I cant figure it out.
please kill yourself ASAP. Kthxbye
I guess a lot of that is the aftercooler. Those things are $$$$ from vortech.
yeah i know...my statement still stands though. IMO...you gotta pay to play.
Sorry dude never tried to insert an image before, I don't have a clue...
Actually, I did. 2 years ago
And I'd spend the 7100 bucks on a visit to MTI or something similar if i had a z06 or a GM ls* based car.
I can't justify paying $7k or $5k for a supercharger setup, when i had my vortech kit....i picked it up used for $1k
