Aimpoint, EOTech...what's the good bad and the ugly on AR weapon sights, I've decided to take the plunge and get a good red dot.

I have heard bad first hand accounts of EOTechs failing. :dunno:

    werd.

ATN makes good stuff. Eotech and Aimpoint have a good reputation for sure. I wouldn't spend any less than $150. You could always get a Leupold CQT, 1x-3x, red dot, lifetime warranty. I'm sure it is a bit more than most red dots, but it would be the last one you would ever need to buy.

lol I have a $20 wal mart BSA, that's what motivated me to move up to something worth a crap. lol

I'd love an acog, but I can't bring myself to spend $900 on it, when I could just get another AR for the same price.

I have a Meprolight M-21i site on my AR, no batteries like the EoTechs just fiber for day and Tritium at night. It's what the Israeli Special Forces use and it's pretty tough.

I've owned both the EOTech And Aimpoint. I personally prefer the EOTech. It makes for a much faster shooter.

Actually I just have a fake aimpoint but from the reviews it's just as good.

I like my 552. Pretty much as long as you get a rev F you are okay.
