    ATTN: Teh Barracks

One of these individuals could be your next president, and will ultimately decide whether or not another rotation (or more) is in your future to Iraq. I've taken the liberty to compile their stances on Iraq straight from their website.

    Cliffs:

    Democrats

    • Hillary Clinton: Bring the troops home starting within 60 days of being elected.
    • Barrack Obama: Begin withdrawing our troops engaged in combat operations at a pace of one or two brigades every month, to be completed by the end of next year.
    • John Edwards: Supports the immediate withdrawal of 40,000-50,000 troops from Iraq and the complete withdrawal of all combat troops from Iraq within nine to ten months.

    Republicans

    • Rudolph Giuliani: No time-table on troop withdrawl
    • Mitt Romney: Send MORE troops to iraq, increase redeployment.
    • Mike Huckabee: Stay in Iraq.
    • Ron Paul: Pull out of Iraq immediately

    Looking at Romney's policy..

FUCK YOU Mr. Romney. If you feel so strongly about it why don't you go fight? The American people have made it very clear how they feel about this war.

Yes. Not immediate withdrawal, as that would probably just fuck shit up worse, but come on, MORE troops? Escalate this shit?

Biden's idea is the most realistic to me - get regional partners involved and agree to the idea of a loose federation of three semi-autonomous nation-states, broken down by ethnic lines (kurdistan, shi'astan, sunnistan type of thing).

Regional Partners. As in Arabs. We're talking about people that can only agree on two things: the destruction of Israel and ass-raping the world through higher gas prices.

Giuliani is a fucking pin-head. I'm surprised he has a room to take a shit with the PNAC hand stuck so far up his ass. Unless - he's not shitting then he's liable to die soon from clogged bowels...hmm I like that idea.

OP is missing some candidates and needs to update his first posting with the complete listing of all candidates or face thread lockage. I've reformatted the posting to show how to correctly format it so that no one candidate is given concious or subconcious favor over the other. Military rules apply here.

Sorry, I don't want people who talk to Jesus in office, even though I am Christian. I'm a big "for the people" kind of guy and believe highly in the separation between church and state. I don't believe personal morals and religious beliefs should conflict with what the majority of people want. :dunno:

i could care less about israel......well, okay i probably shouldn't go that far, but i think our support for israel should be severely cut back - our "support" for them is starting to affect our own national security.

as for higher gas prices, about 30% of the price of gas right now is due only to security concerns - not supply or demand, or OPEC gouging. we pay an extra ~$1/gallon at the pump because of the oil producing nations' concerns over regional instability - a concern that is due in large part to our actions in the region.
