Not sure if this works for older versions of Photoshop, but I don't think that it does.

    Step 1:
When taking pictures that you later want to turn into a panoramic, the best way is to use a tripod, and just rotate the camera from the from left to right, taking pictures along the way. (I prefer to shoot vertical images because you can always crop out the top or bottom later on, and theres no limit to how far you can go horizontally, even 360 degree pics turn out awesome).

    Step 2:
Take those images and open them up, I used RAW images from my Nikon, but you can use JPEG or any other format readable by photoshop.

    Step 3:
Not necessary, but I usually arrange the images how I want them to look, just to get an idea of what the finished product will look like.

    Step 4:
    Select File -->Automate --> Photomerge

    Step 5:
Click "Add Open Files" and be sure that the "Blend images together" option is checked.

    Step 6:
Click "ok" - This can take quite some time, be patient. For 5 raw images, it took my macbook pro about a minute to complete the merging and blending.

This is what you will get.

    Step 7:
    Crop it

    Step 8:
Save your new image and post it in this thread

    Good luck!

one thing to always remember when taking panoramics is not only to keep your settings manual (duh), but also remember to keep the white balance manually set as well.

The first few times I took panos I'd get these weird cross shadow patterns cause I kept the white balance on auto like an idiot :uh:

Good point, mine was actually taken on Auto, but I can see how it could be a problem if the lighting was different. The auto-blend feature in photoshop is pretty good, though :)

Or just shoot RAW and set the WB to the same value for each image in post.

Oh yeah, it is impossible to describe the size of those mountains, just not possible.
