A&P editing pics in photoshop to look like an image from sin city?

    does anyone know how this look can be achieved using photoshop or a similar image editing program? i have tried it but have not found any practical way to do so....

    i'm sure thre is a better way, but you could just select the portion of the image you want to be color, copy as new layer, set some featheredging on the edges, then set the original layer as B&W.

    yeah thats kinda what i figured out when i was messing around....it takes forrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeever :hs:

    I would create a duplicate layer and make the top layer B&W then use the eraser to erase out what you want to be in color. :dunno:

    no i was thinking more along the lines of black and white image with color only in specific areas i.e. goldies hair or blood in the movie

    Just use the brush tool and pick 'color' out of the pull-down menu. Set primary color to black, and secondary color to white (alt-click). Now brush over anything you want b&w.

    or you could selcet everything you want in color then, select inverse and desaturate

    I followed the dragan workflow but played around, mostly making it darker and then I took the bandaids straight from the marv shot, I should have put more, just kinda got tired after many hours of playing around
