editing audio tracks

    is there any freeware out there that can edit audio tracks, doesnt need to be anything fancy... just basically cut and drop part of a song so it begins in at a predetermined point as if the beginning never existed. :ughug:

    I use a program called GNUSound to do that on Linux, but I don't think there's a Windows version of it.

    If it's an mp3 file, MP3Trim can do it.
