Eclipse equipment has very poor quality mechanics... specifically with the cd load/ejection parts.

I bought one and had issues within a few weeks. I then consulted some people who passed me on to a guy in Las Vegas that does high-end repairs for audiophiles (mcintosh type stuff) and he gave me the low-down on the various brands.

I know a few years ago, eclipse had some skipping problems. But for anything recent, I have yet to hear of anything. Infact, eclipse makes many radios for toyota and lexus, so if there were any major problems they woud be apparent.

I think yota switched to panasonic... my 2004 yota has a panasonic headunit as part of the "premium" system (I still don't see what's "premium" about it tho :squint: )
