What is one gaining by using all the pre workout supps like superpumped, jacked, whiteflood etc...

Does EC make more sense financially and beneficially? Is EC more dangerous?

Keep in mind I am referring specifically to energy during a workout as I understand other supps have creatine, beta alinine etc.

I am a fan of superpump. I have tons of energy, focused energy at that. The pump that I get from this product is incredible and I have been witnessing great gains while using it. I highly recommend trying it out for yourself and seeing whether it is a beneficial supplement for you or not...

although many people do i wouldn't personally take ephedrine before an intense workout on a regular basis. doesn't seem safe from a long term perspective.

then again it can't be anymore dangerous than those who are prescribed adderall and workout, so :dunno:

cliifs: i have no useful information to contribute.

I think your opinion is useful.

After using an EC Stack I notice more side effects than if I use other preworkout supps. Specifically, my heart rate is elevated so I don't feel comfortable putting my heart to full work during an intense workout. Also I feel the effects of an ec stack a lot longer than any other stimulant so I don't feel right using it for long periods of time.

Whereas caffeine, superpump, jack3d, noxplode just gives me the same effects as drinking two cups of coffee.

I don't buy the idea that preworkout supplements necessarily benefit anything other than providing energy.

one specific time comes to mind where i took EC in the morning then went to do shoulders (wasn't planning on going to gym or i wouldn't have taken it). i was doing overhead presses and i had to stop because i thought my heart was going to blow up. i think i was over 200bpm and i could hear it beating loud as shit over the gym noise.

when i was young i remember taking stacker 2 (when it still had ephedra in it) and going for a run and i had to stop for the same reason.

Interesting responses... my biggest concern is the use of 8-16mg's of ephedrine pre workout 4-5 days a week could cause long term problems.

I was on EC and taked jack3d on two seperate occassions... I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack. I had to sit down and stop lifting. Even then my heart was racing and I was sweating bullets.

    Fuck

    meh uppers are uppers

You're going to build a tolerance to all of them, and all of them have an upper limit to how much you take, and side effects. The problem with the newer shit is that you don't have as much data on long term issues. The problem with well established stimulants is that you know they have long term issues.

I think all the other shit they package with the latest round of pre workout supps is where you're going to find something for nothing (beta alanine, nootropics, etc.) the issue with these is that their effects are never as good as crack.

They dont do anything except give you more energy and focus.

    They dont give you 'gains'.

Pumps don't give gains, at all. Just another myth pushed by the bodybuilding community.

That said, I use them. :mamoru:

Lots of people do it. Shorter half-life of ephedrine is good for pre-workout boost.

    Useless

In the case of focus and energy at the gym, do think most pre-work supps are a financial waste in comparison to EC?

It try not to use Ephedrine before weight training sessions b/c it's a vaso-constrictor.

    Your concern is warranted.

E/C is not designed to be taken regularly; hence why most people cycle it.
E/C is a heavy thermogenic, and will increase resting heart rate, and increase overall heart rate during exercise. Using it for a long period of time runs the risk of developing high blood pressure, higher resting heart rate, arrhythmia, and anxiety problems.

    I would not recommend this.

I'm not a huge fan of pre-workout stims. I used to use them frequently. I've tried E/C, the other basic powder stims. They work well and certainly give a better, more intense workout, but after using them for a month or so I would find myself feeling anxious at the gym and constantly feeling dehydrated... Not to mention PWO jitters and sleeplessness.

This is just my experience though. Some use the powder stims with no problem. I get by just fine on black coffee now :)
