I've tried searching, but I must be using the wrong keywords.

Are there any useful guides for adapting to a diet that requires more meals less often, food suggestions, time and what not?

    Thanks if you can help.

There's no real benefit to it. Calories over the course of the day > *.

It helps stave off hunger than can cause you to binge. As far as a diet book I have no idea i've always just limited calories

wouldnt it be better to take in a bulk of the calories after your work out? that way it can go towards building the muscle back.

In my quest to drop weight, eating about 5 smaller meals a day helped me control my caloric intake without feeling famished. It's worked like a charm for me.

This is really a YMMV thing. Yeah, protein and carbs right after your workout is good for muscle building. WRT the original point of the thread, the only real benefit to multiple small meals is if it suits your personal preferences. Some people may experience less hunger with that kind of setup, which is great. I personally like not eating till late in the day, I experience less hunger with intermitten fasting typ setups. Given equal macros, it won't matter what you choose.

    .

Also in for frequent eating. As also said though, the only advantage is stable blood sugar levels so you are less likely to binge.

I feel like my stomach has shrunk since im eating small all day, its harder for me to binge if i wanted too.

Doesnt eating small more often have an effect on your metabolism at all? or eating more in the morning compared to the night?

I find it hard to believe that its just calories per day. Like a huge meal right before bed would be just as good as spreading it out.

What do you mean? Like not eat all day, then stuff yourself at night?

well someone said its only calories per day that matters, and the only advantage to eating smaller all day is to prevent cravings.

I try and eat the most in the first half of the day, as well as before and after workout. I also eat like every two hours.

that's reasonable. I still don't know why you're mentioning the big meal. You saying someone's going to fuck up if they do that?

Nutrient timing, except for maybe around your workout, doesn't really affect you that much if at all. I always save a big meal before bed just so that I sleep better.
Eating more frequently boosting metabolism myth has apparently been busted.
