Does it promote weight gain? Or does it not matter? What are your thoughts?

There are arguments for either side.

All I know is this... I "feel" fatter when I eat late at night. I feel bloated the whole next day if i eat within about two or three hours of bedtime. :dunno:

It all depends on what you eat imo. I have a casein shake b4 I go to bed and have yet to gain weight. Eat some cottage cheese b4 u go to bed, that way you wont be hungry and you've got a good source of protein, i would personally do that but i dont like cottage cheese so the shake works just the same.

Yeah, it's a better idea for your body not to have any food during 6-8 hours

if i eat something before i go to bed, i wake up starving. If I don't, I dont wake up hungry.

I eat, therefore I feast in the mornings

Actually that happens to me too... if I eat a high carb meal before bed, the next morning I'm starving. Protein though I'm fine...

hmm, how active are you? are you exercising/lifting 5+ days a week? i would attribute that to ice cream not adding tons of bad weight

and i do whey + ice cream + peanutbutter, might be overdoing it :o
