Early morning lifters.... what does your breakfast consist of?

    When I lifting around 5-6ish PM every day, I was following Pur's diet. Now that I am working 13hr days 5x a week, I am trying to hit the gym first thing in the morning (5am most days, and 6:30am on 2 out of the 3 days). Do you eat first thing in the morning? Carbs? Lately I have been blending up 1cup oatmeal, 2 scoops protein as my first meal, but was thinking about adding 6x raw egg whites + 1scoop protein instead of the 2 scoops. Thoughts?

    What time are you planning to wake up? Personally eating that much even 2 hours before affect my workout. I just have toast with nutella or PB.

    Think I should eating a slide of toast (~50 cals) and 1tbsp PB (~90 cals) ... hit the gym, then pound my gatorade/50g protein shake?

    I have a toast with Nutella AND PB but you can see a clear difference in bf between Timber and I.

    I like a mix of high carbs, high protein and moderate amount of fat.

    Come to think of it, I actually feel crazy bloated when I eat my first meal (basically Pur's meal, 6 egg whites, 1 yolk instead of 2, 1cup of oatmeal, 1 scoop protein) .... and then hit the gym, and then 2 hours later drink gatorade/2x protein.

    Sip a protein shake or aminos during workout is an option.

    i've been having .5 to 1 cup of oatmeal and 2 scoops on whey about 30 min before i workout and i feel fine :dunno:

    Depends on what i ate last night. If i go heavy on carbs / fat, i do not eat breakfast in the morning.
    If I ate clean last night, ill probably eat pancakes with cottage cheese and fruits or bagels if it is an extreme cardio workout (boxing, long distance cycling, running)

    For just lifting with light cardio skim yogurt with whey, oat bran cereal, and almonds/cashews
