In that article they mention how information was passed to a computer to calculate the future trajectory of an attacking aircraft, they got this information from radars and stuff and they used teletype writers to pass information to the computer.

My question is: Could the radar output information in a punched card? 'cause if not then it would take too long for a person to punch a card a input that on a computer for the data to be processed.

If not, then how was it done?

    Here's the article:

    Thanks

If you're really interested in this, then you should check out John Von Neumann and the Origins of Modern Computing. It has a lot of good information about the first major computer projects.

actually it was for a mini paper, i already turned it but still my teacher couldn't answer my question...

it's a question I have, not a question they asked me on my class...
