I just got Mozilla Thunderbird and I want to have this as my email client...I want to have all the emails from my hotmail account to go here...First off...is this possible? If so can anyone explain how to do it? I cant figure out what the POP3 and SMTP servers for Hotmail are...

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I don't think you can use Thunderbird with hotmail. At one time, you were allowed to use Outlook, but I think they just disabled that feature.

I would suggest using another email account, like one through a University or ISP since they will work with Thunderbird.

Like above I used to get Hotmail in Outlook, but I'm not sure if you still can now.

BTW, the SMTP (outgoing) server will always be your ISP's mail server. You would just have to find out the POP3 (incomming)

using hotmail with outlook & outlook express is still possible, but it's impossible to catch all mails from hotmail with mozilla, as there is no "real" pop3 & smtp-server for hotmail.

hotmail uses one "server" for everything:
    http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
