I would like to know this also, can anyone chime in?

I want to use CEE to retain as much mass as possible when cutting.

they are counter productive because cee makes your body retain water and EC is a diuretic right?. but EC does more than just make you pee away all the water in your body. so how exactly are they counter productive?

its fine; they are not "counter productive" (whatever that means). EC and CEE do different things and dont really affect one another. EC will increase metabolism preferentially for fat, and CEE indirectly increases ATP stores in your skeletal muscle.

A possible solution is to also take the creatine post workout only.

Despite the two studies, if I understand it correctly, while the combination of high caffeine dosage (400mg for a 180lb man) and creatine negates the immediate performance benefits, caffeine does not affect the loading of creating nor its cell volumizing effect. The latter personally being the only reason I take creatine for.
