nah no EFI quite yet. I am having some carbueration issue though. After running the car hard for 30 minutes+ it will stall on me, and hesitate like a motherfucker.

Can't wait to get it running smoothly again and get some idea of what kind of power its putting down.

that was my initial thought, but then it started happening in hot weather. Then I insulated all my fuel lines, still happened. Also swapped the gas cap just in case it wasn't venting properly....

no idea. The cars been running out of the box for 1500 miles so I figure its time to get it dyno tuned and figure out this problem at the same time.

It was hesitating real bad at Auto Club Speedway. Still ran like stink, but it can run better.

Pretty cheap. This place is $95 for baseline, but the guy does a ton of muscle cars/drag cars. He's a Holley guru as well.

Gonna drive up there at 11am and just chill out while he works. I'm hoping its nothing major, I really can't afford much right now. :hs:

thats expensive, its around 70$ here for 3 pulls w/ wideband.

nice motor though, post up the printouts from the dyno. my roomate just finished building a 55 chevy w/ a 502 for a customer, supposed to have it dyno'd soon as well.

I'd pull a plug and check it. it could be dumping a little too much fuel

After about 30 minutes worth of driving, I'll let off the gas and the exhaust note will totally change, like its starved for fuel. If I come to a complete stop, the engine will stall. If I blip the throttle a few times, it will be rough and hesitate, but it will get back on track and not stall.

If it does stall, it will take me anywhere from 2-3 starts to fire it back up, usually followed by a lot of gas smell out the exhaust and some white smoke.

No clue. We should be able to figure it out during the dyno session today. I'm looking forward to not worrying about that shit any more. I want to do another track day in february.

i dunno why, but thats not striking me as a carb problem

gas smell is prolly because the engine got loaded with fuel when it stalled

that white smoke isnt good at all though

you ever do a compression check?

hope everything is good though, and its actually a carb problem :bigthumb:
