    i recently got a dvd burner and backed up about 4 gigs of data. It took 1 hour and 14 min using nero 6 going at "4x." the media, -R, said it supported 1x-4x. Is this how long its supposed to take? i've looked around and i can't seem to find any information. is there anything i can do, or undo to make it write faster?
    thanks in advanced.

    What drive do you have, and is it the trial of Nero?

    8x = 7-9 mins
    4x = 15 mins

    to make it write faster, you have to make your case temps lower.

    this is a question that has been making me hesitate buying a dvd burner

    so an 8x dvd burner will still only take 7-9 minutes? even though an 8x regular sized cd takes about that amount if not more?
