It's taking up to 50 minutes for deep analysis and another 50 minutes to encode. The low priority mode is not checked. What other reasons could be slowing it down? Backing up movies usually takes 45 min for both processes.

Specs of comp: 2.8 P4 w/ HT. 512 mb of RAM.

Encoding takes a lot of processor power bud. I'll send you a PM about this cause i think i know what you're talking about ;)

I have never used the deep analysis and never had a problem, so I don't see a need to use it.

Also, if you have the video preview option checked while encoding, it will take longer too.

I never use the preview mode. so :shrugs:

I 've read in user guides that deep analysis improves the quality of DVDs when you have compress them.
