Ok, heres the situation.....My friend just ordered me a dvd from over seas of an old christmas movie that wasnt released in the US.Its reigon 2 PAL.
My xbox wont play it,and i dont want to change my drive reigon on my mac to play it,so i want to rip it some how and make it good for this country. Ive tried mac the ripper and it wont read it....Anyone got any ideas?
Will i have to change the drive type to make it read it then rip with mac the ripper then change the drive type back to US? Yes im aware this is a n00b question.... Ive been searching for this movie since i was a kid,and i REALLY wanna see it....:)

    thx in advance

Don't you just set the region for the burn session in MBR?

are you using the most recent version of MTR? i think its R14 version i

    if not then try that.
if that isnt working i dont know what to tell you.
did you try handbrake? you can at least extract the mp4 from it. and reburn that if you want.

i've always just ripped it and burnt it region free

It sounds like the problem wasn't the region, just the PAL encoding then.

Anyway, I'm glad you got it working!
