Unfortunately there arent many good DVD ripping programs for Mac's. One of the few reasons I still have a PC -- "DVD Shrink" :).

mac the ripper makes perfect copies and can extract just the movie. Most 90 minute movies fit on one dvd. dvd backup does the same. so good the guy is still fighting legal battles. dvd backup originally for playing movies on a linux machine. of course i never copy copyrighted movies.

I use HandBrake. It allows you to customize the rip down to a target filesize of 700MB, or however good you want it. Not to mention its free, and it's a really small app.

    two thumbs up
