I know this may sound dumb, but I been doing some research on DVD-RW burners and I realize that they mostly use this to burn data but can it burn DVD movies? I want to make backups of my DVD movies so that I scratch the originals. Does anyone know of any good DVD Burning software to copy DVD movies?

Copying DVD movies isn't as simple as DVD <> DVD due to encryptions/copyright protections in place. There are however circumventions for this to be done and you can read up on it here:

There are plenty of programs, just do the research. Kazaa has a ton of them as well.

Burning DVDs is an artform, it really is a language all of its own. You can customize the menus and change it so that its a 'you' DVD original. ;)

And of course, yes it can be used to burn movies. :)
