I'm pretty good with electronics..but this baffles me.

I have a KLH 5-disc DVD changer. (Don't crack on the brand, I got a kickass deal on it brand new about a year ago  )...

Sometimes it'll play DVD's fine, but then the video fades out and then screen goes to snow... or sometimes the DVD player won't play at all.

    What I've tried:

    1. Bought a new RF modulator. Didn't change it.
    2. Ran it through a TV with straight composite hookups instead of through RF Mod and coax. Didn't change.
    3. Changed Coax and changed RCA composites... Didn't change.

Someone told me it has to do with some type of capacitor or resister inside gone bad or burnt out.. but I couldn't find the one he was trying to describe. Any thoughts?? I really need to get this working again :hs:

  2. I've never heard of , or seen anything like that, but I would say that your friend is probably right..I think it sounds like it has to do with the 'inner workings' of the player, and not the connections.

You probably already know this but...Does the connection go from the DVD player to a VCR and then to the TV? If so, try connecting it directly to the TV.
